Madinah: Where Mercy Lives

In Quran, Allah describes Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a mercy to all. His resting place to this day reflects that mercy. From the constant cleanliness of Masjid An-Nabawi to the many chairs arranged for visitors, every detail speaks of care and compassion. Free wheelchairs are provided, and Zamzam water flows 24 hours a day. The pillars transform into umbrellas, shading people from the intense sun, while the fans send a gentle breeze in every direction. Believers seeking reward from Allah rush to offer snacks: dates, candy, bread, and more.

There is mercy even in the way people feel so comfortable sleeping in the mosque, sometimes with their legs showing, and no one corrects them. People simply allow themselves to be, and with so many cultures present, each with its own ways, the ease and acceptance reflect a quiet, beautiful gentleness.

It is evident that the Prophet’s ﷺ compassion continues to be felt in every corner of his mosque.

Peace and blessings upon the Nabi of Allah.
