Here I am, standing before his grave – the best of mankind.

“As-salaamu Alayka ya RasulAllah,” I say.

This moment is real, yet I remember a time not long ago when I said these same words at home, sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ from afar. I also vividly remember watching Makkah Live on YouTube every day and whispering a silent prayer “Ya Rabb, you see me. Invite me back”

And now, as I look around me, I realize, I am back. I am in the Prophet’s Mosque. Allahﷻ has heard me and responded.

What an indescribable feeling it is to live an answered du’a.
