Observations From Quran
﷽
My last post I said I would read the Quran with translation. Currently on Juz 13 and here are some of my reflections so far.
- The Quran is a divine message given to a human being. I can imagine living in those times, a simple man named Muhammad(ﷺ)with impeccable character claims he is the Messenger of God. His people -Quraysh, who have known him since childhood can see something is different about him(ﷺ) . He(ﷺ) is using language beyond his literacy, telling stories of events before his time and the one I found most fascinating is Him(ﷺ) speaking on the private conversations of others to which he was not privy to. When he(ﷺ)recites the Quran, he(ﷺ) doesn’t sound like himself; no longer spoken like a humble shepherd. His(ﷺ) words are grandiose and authoritative. Words of a Mighty Creator.
This is one of the stories of the unseen, which we reveal to you ˹O Prophet˺. Neither you nor your people knew it before this. So be patient! Surely the ultimate outcome belongs ˹only˺ to the righteous. [11:49]
2. Allah(swt) continuously reminds us of his mercy. He chooses his mercy over everything. Even when Allah is displeased with us, He encourages us to turn back and seek his mercy.
3. I love the way Allah(swt) comforts His Prophet(ﷺ). Muhammad(ﷺ) loved the people of Mecca and was often heartbroken by their rejection of him & his message. Allah(swt) says
Messenger, do not be grieved by those who rush into disbelief – those who say with their mouths, “We believe,’ but have no faith in their hearts [5:41]
Peace & blessings upon the Nabi of Allah.
