Why did I choose to begin my studies of Quran with Surah Al-Kahf?

It’s simple. I read this surah every Friday so it just made sense.

The three sunnah’s of Fridays are:

• Ghusl (Purification)
• Sending blessings on the Prophet ﷺ
• Reading Surah Al-Kahf

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, Allah will protect him from the trials of the Dajjal (Antichrist).
-Sahih Muslim, Tirmidhi

Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, it will illuminate him with light between the two Fridays.
–Sahih Al-Jami’

I’ve also made it a tradition to have a sweet treat after the Friday prayer. A day full of blessings and mercy.
