﷽
In this month of Ramadan, the excitement of being Muslim is in the air. Everyone is fasting and protecting our fast with good manners and patience. Watching our words, our actions, giving more out of the blessings we have been granted. The rush to prayer after Iftar and staying up all night to plead to the Most High. It’s the most beautiful time of the year.
As I read the Quran I can take myself back to the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and imagine the lives of the people who received the message firsthand. Imagine living in Arabia, you commit to the Oneness of Allah, a brand new belief and as you get up everyday, the Prophet ﷺ receives new revelations. Imagine saying “I believe in this message given to Muhammad ﷺ” and knowing in this message is also a gift for you. A promise of eternal paradise. How exciting is that?
Allah Most High says:
But those who believe and do good deeds will be given the Gardens of Paradise [18:107]
There they will remain, never wishing to leave [18:108]
We are also promised this gift. A gift for believing in Allah and doing good deeds. A reward of a forever resting place, which the Most Merciful describes as:
They will have Gardens of lasting bliss graced with flowing streams. There they will be adorned with bracelets of gold. There they will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade. They will be comfortably seated on soft chairs [18:31]
Such a blessing, May the Creator of the universe accept our efforts.
Peace & blessings upon the Nabi of Allah.
